Ordering your Spectacles

At Spectacle Designer Studio, we’ve made ordering your new eyewear online simple, secure, and completely transparent.

Whether you’re choosing a designer frame to wear as a fashion statement or you need precision prescription lenses, every pair is handled with the same care and attention as if you were visiting us in person. 

We are an optician-led eyewear studio, and every order is checked, verified, and certified by a qualified optician registered with the General Optical Council (GOC) — ensuring your new spectacles meet the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and optical quality. 

Step 1 - Choose Your Frame

Start by browsing our curated selection of designer eyewear from leading brands around the world. 
Once you’ve found a frame you love, you’ll see three simple options before adding it to your basket: 

  1. Prescription Lenses 

  1. Fashion Lenses (non-prescription) 

  1. Frame Only 

Each option is clearly explained below. 

 

If you need prescription lenses, you can fully customise your eyewear online. After selecting Prescription Lenses, our system will guide you step-by-step through your choices: 

  1. Select your lens type – single vision, varifocal, or reading. 
  2. Choose your lens brand and coating options – such as anti-reflection, scratch resistance, blue-light protection, or photochromic lenses. 
  3. Add any additional treatments or guarantees you’d like to include for your peace of mind. 

Once your lens options are selected, you’ll be asked to enter your prescription in one of two ways: 

  • 📄 Enter Manually – type your prescription directly into the form. 
  • 📧 Email It Later – if you prefer, you can send it to us after checkout. 

If you’re already a patient of Oracle Opticians, you can simply select “Email it later” and write in the notes: “I am an Oracle Opticians patient.”  We’ll verify your details and securely access your most recent prescription on file. 

  • Prescription Policy & Verification 

We follow GOC (General Optical Council) guidelines to ensure your spectacles are dispensed safely and correctly.

To proceed with a prescription order, we must have an up-to-date prescription signed by a qualified optometrist.

If your sight test is not current, please have an eye examination with your local optician before placing your order. 

Alternatively, you’re very welcome to book an appointment with us at our bricks-and-mortar practice.

We’ll ensure your vision is fully assessed, your prescription updated, and your new glasses perfectly tailored to you. 

If you love the frame but don’t require prescription lenses, select Fashion Lenses. You can then choose from a range of clear or tinted lenses with optional anti-reflective, scratch-resistant, or UV-protective coatings to enhance both comfort and aesthetics. 

This is a great choice if you’d like optical-quality lenses for fashion or occasional wear, but don’t need a prescription. 

Prefer to have your lenses fitted elsewhere or simply want the frame for collection purposes?

Select Frame Only, and we’ll ship your chosen designer eyewear in its original case and packaging.

Every frame is inspected, polished, and carefully packaged by hand to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
